Regular Village of Baldwin Board Meetings: 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm at the Baldwin Municipal Center, 400 Cedar St., Baldwin, WI. Special Meetings, dates and times as noticed. Meeting notices are posted on the lobby door of the Village Office, Post Office, First Bank of Baldwin, and the Ag Center.

Voting Registration is required in the Village of Baldwin, effective 1-1-2006.  Avoid waiting in line.  Register Now!!

Building Inspector: Building permits are issued by Brian Wert, Certified Building Inspector. He can be reached between the hours of 7:00am - 3:300pm at 715-386-5410.

Right of Way:  Is public property and included in the land between curb and your property line (15 ft. if 66 ft street or 12 ft. if 60 ft. street).  No unauthorized encroachment or encumbrances allowed.  The governing body is authorized to remove the encroachment and recover the cost from the occupant of owner.

Curfew: No child aged 16 years or under shall loiter, idle or remain upon any street, alley or other public place in the Village between 10:00pm and 5:30am the next day, except on Friday's and Saturday's when 10:00pm shall be extended to 11:00pm, unless such child is accompanied by his parent, guardian, or other adult person having legal custody such child.

Dog License: All dogs in the Village of Baldwin, must have a license.  In order to get a license, proof of rabies shot is required. A dog License is $15.00. If the dog is spayed or neutered the license is $8.00. (Fees may change). This is an annual license which begins January 1, of each year payable at the Village office, 400 Cedar St., Baldwin. LIMIT 3 DOGS OR 3 CATS OR A TOTAL OF 4 DOGS AND CATS. Keeping of dangerous dogs prohibited.  NO PIT BULLS.

Leash Law: Ordinances require that no owner or other person in control or having custody of an animal shall allow the animal to run at large within the Village.

Destruction of Noxious Weeds: All noxious weeds in excess of 8 inches in height are prohibited within the Village. Noxious weeds include any weed or grass.

Garbage Pick Up: The Village of Baldwin currently has a contract for residential garbage pick-up with Waste Management. Pick up is every Tuesday, unless a holiday, pick up would be the following day. For service please call 1-800-421-9577 in Baldwin area, 1-715-425-8397 outside Baldwin area.

Parking: Snow Season Parking No person, shall park any vehicle on any street in the Village between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. on any day between November 1 and the following April 1, except upon permission granted each day by the Police Department.

Sidewalks: Village of Baldwin, Regulation of Snow Removal Sidewalks are to be kept clear of snow and ice. Sidewalks are to be cleared of all accumulated snow and/or ice within 24 hours of time snow stops accumulating. No person shall push, shove, or in any way deposit any snow and/or ice onto any public streets, alley, sidewalk or public land.

Real & Personal Property Taxes, Special Assessments and Special Charges:  The Village of Baldwin no longer collects real property taxes.  Instructions will be included with tax statements .Payments are collected by St. Croix County, 1101 Carmichael Rd., Hudson, WI  54016. Property tax bills are mailed in December. 1st installment is due January 31, of each year, 2nd half is due July 31.

Rental License: A license is required January of each year for property owners of residential at a $15.00 charge per unit. Applications are available at the Village office.

Sirens: Are WARNINGS to alert people to GO INSIDE, TUNE IN-TV/RADIO (WCCO, Weather Channel, Cable TV - Ch 16). Sirens are used to warn of: Severe Weather, Toxic Chemical Spill or Counter Terrorist Information. Do not call 911. Sirens are automatically activated by County whenever Thunderstorm Warnings or Tornado Warnings are issued by National Weather Service for St. Croix County. Sirens are tested the 1st Wednesday of each month.

Spring and Fall Clean-Up Days: Scheduled in April and September. The dump is located approx. ½ mile west of Hwy 63, on 60th Ave.. Watch for notices on what is accepted, price list, time and date.

Sump Pumps: Sump Pumps cannot be plumbed to sanitary sewer. No drainage to streets between October 1, through March 31.

Utility Bills - Water & Sewer: Utility Bills are sent quarterly and are due by the 5th of the following month. (Meter readings for October through December are billed by January 15, payment due by February 5th, January through March, billed by April 15, payment due May 5th, April through June, billed by July 15, payment due by August 5, July through September, billed October 15, payment due by November 5th). United Civic Center: The facility is owned by the Village of Baldwin and operated under the United Civic Center Commission. The Blackhawk Hockey Association uses the building for Hockey from October through March. From April through September the building is available for rental. Village Dump Hours: Spring / Summer Village dump hours (begin the week following the change to daylight savings time):

Tues: 1-6 P.M., and Sat: 8:00am -12:00 P. M.

    Fall/Winter dump hours (begin the week following the return to central standard time):

Tues: 12:00PM(noon)- 4 P.M. Sat: 8:00 AM-12:00 P M

    The dump is located approx. ½ mile west of Hwy 63, on 60th Ave.
